The project consists of an ABC book that addresses, through texts and illustrations, the difficult lessons BIPOC parents must share with their children on how to survive the structural racism our world presents - responsible for so many unjustified deaths, and target of various recent protests, besides being a central point of discussion during the 2020 elections. The book presents 26 letters and 26 lessons, illustrated by a wide range of BIPOC artists from around the globe.
From Brazil, Norte brought to the project the artistic talents of Oga Mendonça, Ciro Schunemann, Gabriel Ribeiro (Gabs), Junno Sena, Robinho Santana and Aline de Souza (Linoca Souza) - the latter, also responsible for illustrating the book cover.
This book was created with the concept that it shouldn't exist, and aims to provoke real actions and changes. Through its pages, readers will find tear-out protest posters and postcards, which should be addressed to the congress to amplify the debate and awareness. So reading the book should be the first act of a series of movements aiming for racial justice.
The book launch took part on March 8th in a partnership with the National Black Child Development Institute (https://www.nbcdi.org), and all proceeds of the book will go directly to the non-profit organization.

The goal was to create a character made of dirt and dust found inside vacuum cleaners. At first, artist MMiller developed character concepts, sketching several options, giving it striking features, such as eyes built with buttons and a navel represented by a locknut.
After that, a study of poses was made in three different situations, and the physical mockup was created. Measuring 60cm high, it came to life by the hands of scenographers at Atelier Casa do Trem. The physical production was made with materials such as foam, dust, dirt, hair, and paper. Inside, it had a wire structure making it malleable to shape it according to the poses needed.
Finally, the character was photographed in different scenarios and actings created for each situation.

Created by the couple Marmota Vs. Milky, and afterwards converted to 3D by Thales da Rocha Trindade, the official mascot is a reindeer - the same species that is used by Santa Claus to carry his sled - called Kesa. The campaign also consisted of a Bid Book, and an official shop inside the bid website. Besides the mascot creation, Norte was responsible for inviting different artists to bring their perspective of the event, by creating promotional posters about this near and yet, dystopian future.
